DILAPIDATED

There you are again.

Alone in the dark...

Just like before.

As if the darkness gives you comfort. You feel as if there's only one thin line that separates you from reality to fantasy. That your sanity will surrender anytime from now. Melancholic. Yeah, that’s what you are. You feel severe loneliness inside you. And it slowly eating you up. But for you, it always felt good. To be alone. To cry alone. To laugh alone. As if it was the very best solution to what you feel. They say you can read minds. Do you? Or it was just your thoughts that were trapped inside you. Luckily got out just in time. They say you can let other's feelings let go. Can you really do that? Or it was you who wanted somebody to let your feelings go? It was you who needed somebody's help? What happened then? You thought you were strong. You thought you have a lot of confidence. And they thought so, too. But it was just a big lie. All of it was a lie. You just imagine it. You just create it. You tell the whole damn world that you have a beautiful mind. That you understand every tiny bit of the things that surrounds you. You hear them but you're deaf yourself. You feel them but you’re numb. You love others but you're mad at yourself. You're mad for who you are.

The darkness began to fade. And lights are slowly showing up. You feel it. And you are scared of it. And you choose to hide.

Far, far behind.

Until no one sees you.

Until no one ever hear about you.

But that’s what you thought.

They can hear you....

They can see you.

And they pity you.

Coz you're lost.

Far lost from reality.

.....

A review for 50 Shades of Grey

Its actually just a curiosity at first. I am seeing it all over the internet. My reaction is "What's with this 50 Shades? and then it became much more like "Whats with Grey?"... I admit Im kinda negative about this book before. I am a type of person that reads a lot of review from the net before buying something. And I have read some negative reviews then. But the more I read negative reviews all the more the curiosity grows on me. And then I can't get enough of it anymore.

I told my friend about the book becoming a super duper controversial and she was quite interested on it. Then she decided to buy the book. She asked me if I want it too, I was so sceptical at first, but then I said, what to lose anyway? Its just a book. It feels weird though that both of us buy our own copies when we live on the same house. We used to share our Danielle Steele, Judith Macnaughts and others. So funny we think, but we can't risk the possibility of  liking it and end up asking ourselves who owns it now? So we decide, what the heck, lets have each of our own.

And now, we're happy we have decided to have our own. It's worth a keep.

Why should I say that? There is a lot to say.

The romance. It tells a love story and when it comes to this, sex is inevitable. The book shows the readers how two people share the passion they have for each other. The amorousness is uncontrollable. Overflowing. Unconditional. And as Anastasia says, insatiable. They have an effect with each other that they cannot detemine where and when it begins and if it will end. But every romance novel has the same story. How the author put it in writing is what makes the difference. The details, the passion, the feelings. It was put altogether in a perfect timing. Mixing all of it without leaving the other. It was all there. The imagination will work simoultaneously while you're reading it. The author gave it all to the reader.

The characters. It's not at all talk, dark and handsome prince and smart, kind and beautiful princess. Yeah, the characters are not from fairy tales anymore. It's talk, dark eyes and bad ass. Main characters are not the poor one and the good one. They are the powerful, authoritative, unnerving and mean which by the way are the bad characters in fairy tales. Despicable characters. Christian Grey with deep dark secrets. Mean. Very cruel. Dominant. But with a deep dark past that makes him what he is. Attitude that he can't control because of his past. And then there is Anastasia. A very gullible person. A not-so-hot-not-so-pretty chick.  A not so kind easy-to-bully one. But a bad ass herself. Not a graceful and fragile lady but a strong lass. A character that makes the mean man gone madly inlove.

The author. It was a shock when I learned that E L James is a woman. I thought it was more like Goerge RR Martin specialty. I mean, how can she be braved with all this stuff. I mean those overflowing stuff. Well this is not a first erotic novels ever written but hey, hers' very unpredictable. Her choice of music is excellent. Vocabulary is enormous. The imagination is boundless. The story, the sequence, its volatile. Need not say more.

The Story. Everyday we hear a story about a child sexually abused. A story of a child hurt and tortured by someone. A story of a child that witnessed the dead of her mother or anyone elses'. But a story of a child with all those things altogether, is a hearbreak. The reader was captured by this sad story. And anxious how he will got out of it. We hear those wild sex, pornography and all that. But not a woman that will willingly do it for the love of her man and not for the money. A story that one might easily getaway with in real life. But not one will willingly stay to make a difference and try to make it right.

There's a lot more to say but I guess I'll leave it all to the readers.
Can't wait to finish the second and third book.

Laters, baby.

Summer Getaway: Matabungkay Beach

MATABUNGKAY BEACH RESORT, BATANGAS

Every summer companies gave their employees a free summer getaway as part of employee benefit. And every year, G4S is organizing it together with their families. For employees, this is their time to have a bonding with their family, have fun on the beach and get  away from the usual workload, eat sumptuous meals, sing karaoke and be merry with friends.

And this year, the committee choose Batangas as the perfect place for these activities.

The sun is up and the ocean is inviting, this place is one of the oldest resorts in the Philippines, yet they manage to keep the place beautiful over the years.

If you are not a swimmer, you may enjoy the water on the bay but if you opt to choose the deep ocean, there are boats that will take you there. Since the water is not deep, kids can enjoy the beach side too.

Water is bluer and deeper in the middle. You can see the resorts on the other side.

If you're afraid to go out on the sun, the resort has tents with beach chairs to relax on while enjoying the scenery and taking pictures. Not to mention there is a swimming pool on the inner part of the resort were trees and umbrellas are covering up the pool area.

In front of the resort are landscapes you can enjoy taking pictures with.

Food and dine are great too, but I'm afraid I missed taking pictures before I indulged in it. :) If you want to spent the night here, rooms are available in a very low price good for 5 to 6 persons.

Long Weekend: What to do?

I was waiting for the elevator in the lobby Thursday morning, when our Managing Director came. He was going to use the elevator too. When we're in it, he commented "Easter season is coming!" and I was hesitant to replied,"Yes, and Im looking forward to it!". "Are you going home to your province?" he asked, I said Yes though Im only spending time just a few miles away from Manila. I ask him where he would spend his, and he replied "Im going on a trip. I bet Manila will be quiet then." and I said "It will be, without traffic." He laugh.
It was a very unusual conversation but a good one too. When I got to my table, I was wondering and really looking forward to that long vacation. From time to time, between my busy work, I was wondering what to do with my vacation. So I came up with TO-DO list for me to enjoy my vacation.

I will be sharing this so anyone who will read this will also have an idea what to do during long weekends.
  • Read. When we're busy with school projects or office workloads we ignore those books we wanted to read for a long time. Now is the time to get involve with your Judith McNaught or John Grisham novels.
  • Raid your Closet. Let's admit, we don't really pay attention on the clothes we have on our closet until we cannot closed the doors anymore, or clothes are bursting out when you open it. This is the right moment to make evaluations on what to keep and what to toss on our wardrobe. We do know it's hard to let go of our favorite stuff even though it doesnt fit us anymore but, unless you lose or gain weight in order to wear it again, this fave outfit must be tossed off your closet.
  • Organize a Garage Sale. Once you've done cleaning up your closet, you can organize a garage sale. You can also sell other items stocked in your attic or other stuff aroung the house no longer needed or use. This way you can generate income without investing or doing anything rather than cleaning!
  • Be artistic. You're done with you book and you have cleaned up your closet. You have sod other stuff but there is other things left unsold. You can use it on scrapbooking or crafting! You can work on arts or projects to show the artistic side of you!
  • Vanity. It's time to pamper ourselves. Do not let the vacation go by without visiting the spa, or salon. Afterall, vacations are also known (for girls) as beauty rest.
  • Movie marathon. Are you missing your co-actressess like Meryl Streep or Julia Roberts, well, a bonding with some dvds will get you face to face with them once again.
  • Picnic at the park. The best and oldest way to bond with your family without spending too much. And you can get in touch with the nature too. You can get updated with what's going on with your sister's life or the graduation day of your nephew or a little jumping rope with your niece. Plus, you get to have a taste of your mom's delicious desserts.
  • Social Responsibilities. Look for NGO's who need a little help. You don't need to donate big bucks but your assistance will surely make a difference. It feels good helping other people without asking or waiting for something in return. Plus you become part of something that brings hapiness to those in need. You also get a chance to broaden your network by meeting other people.
  • Planning ahead. Of course, your long weekend will end and you will be facing tons of work when you get back to office. So instead of having a hang over or a shock on the day you went back to work, why not prepare yourself to it by planning things you need to do,a step by step guide so you will not be overwhelm with the mountainous paperworks waiting for you at your desk. Schedule this the night before you report to work, so you will know what to prioritize when you get back.
The key points here is to have a one-day plan. One day for yourself, one day for your family and friends and one day for your career.
So I hope to have a good weekend ahead. Can't wait to do these things and I hope this will be of good help to those who were looking for suggestions or ideas. There still a long list out there, and you probably have tons of great ideas too, at least we have something to start of this vacation.
Have a nice and fun-filled weekend to everyone!!!

Summer Getaway: Amansinaya Mountain Resort

Amansinaya Mountain Resort
March 10-11,2012

Thanks to my fabulous and adventurous sister Minda, who always have a getaway gimmick every now and then. She loves swimming and she practically visit every resort near the city. And now, we are invading the San Laurel Batangas. She found the place in the famous Metro Deal website were she can have half the price of the entrance fee at the resort. Since the package includes trekking to a falls and an adventure camp, she loves the idea of a thrill, fun-filled, action pack getaway so, she grab it.

Of course, being the opposite of my sister who just love a safe and sound relaxation at home or just have some fun with friends at a nearby resto-bar, was not at first thrilled with the idea. I search for a review for the resort, got some pictures, and blogs and viola, I found myself pretty excited to do it too (just for the benefit of summer adventures I could call my own).

So came the plans, we grab stuff at the grocery stores Friday night, we packed things and headed on the highway by morning the next day. We're bound to Rotonda Tagaytay City were there is a short-cut as they say it to Talisay road. The short cut they say seem a lifetime for me, coz it's a long way high way to hell. Hell, coz I feel a lot of stomach ups and downs due to blind curves and super twisted road.

It was like cannon road of Baguio City. Though its smaller and the road were not a usual main road coz I have seen very few light vehicles passed by. I wonder what it would look like in the evening. On the roadside the scenery is remarkable.

At 9am we arrived at Patio Filipino where the restaurant and admin office of the resort is located. There is a pool there they called infinity pool which is from 2ft. to 5ft. deep. There are tables and chairs beside the pool where you can have your breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We have registered and reserve ourselves a lunch before we joined the group who will trek that morning.

While trekking, we saw the streams of water, tall trees, carabaos, horses and rice fields. Typical countryside scenery. So if you are a nature lover this adventure is really for you. Down the roads you will cross parts of the river so the chance of getting wet is there so be sure you wear sandals or slippers or expect your shoes and clothes to get wet.

After a 45-minute trek, you will surely enjoy the wonders of nature. Ambon Ambon falls is definitely one good scenery to adore.

When we got back to resort we checked in to Casa Aman, one of the Casatel of the resort. The place is very cozy. We add 2 mattress to accommodate all of us. The room is big it can accommodate 4 to 5 persons. It has a refrigerator and a television with cable.

Each Casatel has a pool of its own.

Pugad Lawin Adventure Camp is also a wonderful experience.
Adventure Camp is very suitable for team building and camping. There is obstacle course and other exciting activities to enjoy with.

It is the first time I tried mud slide. I was hesitant first, but I enjoyed my first try. I wasn't able to try zip line because of security restrictions. You cannot ride it when you're wet because the harness might slipped and it is not safe.

Surely this is one fun-filled, action packed getaway I have for 2012. And most of all, I have a great bonding with my family. It is not so often you get to be at one with nature and be adventurous like this one.

Summer Getaway: Capones Island

Location: San Antonio, Zambales

Resort Name:

Date: April 28-29,2011

I was just a "sabit" on this trip. Two of my friends invited me to join them on their company outing. Their company that consist of just a few people also accommodate employee's dependent. And I was my friends' dependent.

We arrive on the meeting place at 6AM and travel from Makati to Zambales for almost 4 straight hours. The beach resort we stayed in has comfortable airconditioned rooms with a comfort room and two flat beds. The room can accommodate 4 pax. They also have one medium size swimming pool for midnight swimmers.

We also rented a 30-pax boat that will bring us on the Capones Island. You can choose to have the trip to all 3 ISlands but we choose to just get only Capones Island.

When we get there, I was very excited. The scenery is very beautiful and the ocean is deep blue. The water is clear and cold. It is really inviting. We thought we will just stay there for an hour but the place is really tempting that we stay for the whole morning. You just have to be clear on the schedule so the boat will pick you on time otherwise wait for them and suffer a super sunburned skin.

Summer Getaway: Fisherman's Farm at Dasmarinas Cavite

Location: Dasmarinas, Cavite
Resort Name: Fisherman's Farm

It is a very simple, short yet exciting trip I had with my family. My family has been living in Dasma for quite sometime now, yet we do not know everything about this place. But my eldest sister is very much willing to explore the place. One thing she discovered is the Fisher's Farm Resort. It is located just here in Dasma. So early Saturday morning, we packed our things and head to the location.

The place is just 15 to 30 minutes away from our home. So if you travel from Makati and Pasay, it will just take you an hour to go there. The place is not new since a lot of people is already there when we arrive. The place has been there for quite sometime now. Though it is crowded in the entrance, we manage to get in. Though w are afraid there could be a lot of people inside now and the swimmng pool will be crowded soon.

We manage to get a tree house, that could actually accommodate 12 to 15 persons. You could bring your own food and there is a barbeque stansd you could use. They have 4 different swimming pools. Two pools for kids and two for adults. Pools are not that big, and at noon time the place is already crowded.

There are some amenities though that you could have fun if you do not want to plunge on a crowded swimming pool. They have a horse back riding, fishing and boating. We have tried fishing and caught atleast 15 tilapia in just an hour. Thanks to my father, he caught almost everything we had. You could also take pictures on the horses if you do not want to take a ride.

Since the place is crowded, we just had a short stay and by 2PM we already have our things pack and head home. First summer escapade for me this year. I got a fungus grow in my ears because of the polluted pool. (Please take note: do not swim on a crowded pool. Bacterias also plunge with the crowd.) Though this is a very sad experience for me, I had fun all in all because I have spent it with my whole family. After all, the time we spent together is the most important.
